Meinl treat the fledgling percussionist to the HC555VSB conga set including one 10-inch and one 11-inch conga complete with basket-stands. Like most of the models included in the beginner-friendly Headline Series, the drums of the HC555VSB have been shaped using rubber wood and topped with buffalo-hide batter heads to produce that unmistakable conga sound. This particular set is also lighter in weight than that of a standard, so it's a little easier to move around for shorter arms and, since it's finished with a striking Vintage Sunburst, it's already stage ready.

While Meinl did design their Headliner Series for studying percussionists, they have in no way skimped on the professional details. The solid basket-stands are easy to position, place and adjust for the optimum playing height and the batter-head is made from hand-selected hide.
